UNSIQ and Waku Pro Japan Sign a Memorandum of Agreement on International Cooperation

Sains Al-Qur’an University (UNSIQ) has once again strengthened its international network by signing a memorandum of agreement with Waku Pro Japan, a reputable research institute from Hiroshima, Japan. The agreement was signed by UNSIQ Rector, Dr. H. Zaenal Sukawi, M.A., and executive committee member of Waku Pro Science Hiroshima Institute, Dr. Fujikawa Yoshinori.

This agreement includes the exchange of researchers, collaboration in research, international publications, as well as the exchange of information and research materials. This initiative is expected to support the improvement of research quality and academic productivity at both institutions.

Waku Pro Science Project is a research institute under the auspices of several major universities in Hiroshima Perfecture, including Hiroshima University, Hijiyama University, and Hiroshima Perfecture University. Established in 2003, Waku Science Pro is very aggressive in conducting research-based community service programs. One of its flagship programs that has been running for decades at Hiroshima University is “Professor Goes to School.”

In his speech, the Rector of UNSIQ, Dr. H. Zaenal Sukawi, M.A., said that UNSIQ will establish a Reputable International Journal Publication Team based in LPPM. The team will consist of a board of international and internal experts, as well as members from lecturers and researchers who are experienced in scientific publications. This step aims to increase the research productivity of UNSIQ lecturers as well as the dissemination of research results through reputable national and international journals.

This collaboration is an important step for UNSIQ in realizing its vision as a university based on research and scientific publications that are globally competitive.
